This week, the icon, Olivia Newton-John, has succumbed to her long-fought battle with cancer. She was 73 years old, and she died on her ranch in Southern California.
She battled cancer for over 30 years while supporting the environment, animal rights causes, and breast cancer research.
Newton-John and Travolta worked together in 1983 for a movie named’ Two of a Kind.’ The film failed to earn the critical acclaim of Grease, but the soundtrack did much better than the film. It gave Newton-John three hit singles. One of those tracks from the film is “Twist of Fate.”
Young people might not know of Newton-John’s 1983 hit song “Twist of Fate” when it was released on radio. However, people might remember it from a more recent series, and this song was featured in season 2 of Stranger Things.
During episode nine, “The Gate,” at the Snowball, when Dustin enters the dance, “Twist of Fate” starts to play.
The lyrics were about second chances and about getting things right this time, new beginnings, and the worth of life without love.
Stranger Things has been an outstanding series to revive some fantastic 80s tunes for a modern generation.
