The main protagonist is the focus of the series Dear Edward, which is based on the same-named book by Ann Napolitano. The only individual to survive the plane crash is 12-year-old Edward. His family was also travelling with him. The story details how 12-year-old Edward, the sole survivor of the crash, discovers how to deal with the tragic event that took his family’s lives and learns to recover.

The series Dear Edward is created by Jason Katmis, starring Colin O’Brien as Edward, Taylor Schilling as Lacey, Connie Britton as Dee Dee, Carter Hudson as John, Ivan Shaw as Steve, and many others.

Connie Britton portrays Dee Dee, a lady who lost her husband in a plane crash. Although Britton’s role as Coach Taylor’s wife, Tami, in Friday Night Lights may be the one for which she is best known and most loved, it is by no means her only one. She portrayed Nicole in Season 1 of The White Lotus and appeared in American Horror Story: Murder House.

Taylor Schilling, well known as Piper from Orange is the New Black, portrays Edward’s Aunt Lacey, who becomes his guardian when his parents die. Schilling also appeared in Argo, which won Ben Affleck the Best Picture award, and she co-starred with Zac Efron in The Lucky One. In the Emmy-winning limited series Pam & Tommy, Schilling most recently portrayed Erica. She will also appear as Ida May in the upcoming movie Queen of Bones.
