If you don’t like to laugh, then you won’t care about the great news that this article will bring you. Yes, it is what you thought: Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are devising a plan for an all-new comedy-horror series!
Since the sitcom Spaced, released in 1999, brought the duo fame, they’ve been climbing the comedy ladder ever since. Their ‘Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy’, which was comprised of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End, also brought them comedic success. More of their accomplishments include Star Trek Beyond and the Mission for Simon Pegg and Into the Badlands for Nick Frost.
And now, they are ready to return to the comedy scene with their new sitcom entitled Truth Seekers. Each episode will be a half-hour long, following the adventures of a three-person paranormal investigation team, and will feature a new paranormal misfortune each week. Variety describes the show as having a “monster-of-the-week” potential.
Here’s what Pegg has to say about it:
“Each episode is going to be an adventure, a potential haunting or something. It’ll start as a very parochial idea, a very small business venture for these people, but it will expand as the series goes on to be something far more global.”
Pegg and Frost have not yet chosen a broadcasting platform but will produce the show through their own company called Stolen Picture. The producer of Stolen Picture is currently working on its debut film called Slaughterhouse Rulez, another horror comedy.
