Regina King is streaking a trail on Netflix similar to the outlaw Trudy Smith in the western, The Harder They Fall. In a forthcoming project, fans of King can look forward to her next work: A Man in Full. It’s a joint production with David E. Kelley, and he will be the showrunner and writer of this limited series.
The protagonist in this series is also the director and a producer. She works alongside her sister, Reina, through their Royal Ties production company that has a first-look deal with the streamer.
A Man in Full contains six episodes of one-hour length, with the King set to direct the show’s first half and executive produce along with Kelley, Reina, and Matthew Tinker. When questions about her collaboration with Kelley, King notified Variety, “All I can say is when David E. Kelley calls, you just say yes. I know this partnership will produce something special.”
However, an official release date for A Man in Full is not yet announced. But according to What’s On Netflix, the series will start its production soon, likely sometime this August. That implies that it will proceed with its filming through the fall and maybe into winter. Probably, the show will not be released until mid to late 2023.
