If you’re not sure what fall anime are worth your time, here are eight of the highlights, both new and returning.
Even with the year drawing to a close, many anime are still airing, and there are so many to choose from. If you’re not sure what anime to watch during your downtime, worry not! I’m here to share with you eight anime from this fall anime season.
1) Spy X Family Season 3

The Forgers return for another season of secrets. Master spy Twilight, now Loid Forger, is given the mission to get close to Donovan Desmond to prevent worldwide war. Spy X Family is a show that follows the adventures of Loid and his new fake family: Anya, his daughter, a child telepath, Yor Briar, his wife and a secret assassin, and Bond, a dog that can see the future.
This season, we join as they navigate carnivals, strict teachers, and more in an effort to keep their cover and carry out their missions. Loid and Anya face difficulties getting close to the Desmonds, while Yor faces the difficulties of being a good mom. A season with plenty of laughs and hijinks to go around, you won’t want to miss Spy x Family Season 3.
2) Disney Twisted Wonderland: The Animation

Inspired by the Japanese mobile game, Disney Twisted-Wonderland, we follow Yuuken “Yuu” Enma, an average Japanese high school student. On the night before a big competition, a black carriage crashes into him. When he wakes up, Yuu finds himself at the entrance ceremony of Night Raven College, a school for the magically gifted.
There’s just one problem: he has no magic! Follow Yuu in his quest to get back home. It’s a show set for three seasons, adapting the game’s first three chapters. If you’re a fan of new takes on the Disney IP, then give Twisted Wonderland: The Animation a shot. It’s got four episodes as of writing this, with more on the way.
3) To Your Eternity Season 3

A new season of the beloved anime, To Your Eternity, follows the adventures of Fushi, an immortal orb that descends to earth to learn about the world and humanity. Along the way, he learns a little bit more about the people around him and experiences new feelings along the way.
Season 3 picks up five centuries after Season 2. Now, Fushi finds himself waking up in the modern day alongside his friends. Now he faces both new and returning foes. With new experiences under his belt, Fushi must now learn about the deeper parts of humanity and confront the feelings stirring within his heart. For a story that is equal parts sad and heartfelt, check out To Your Eternity Season 3.
4) May I Ask For One Final Thing?

Tired of watching corrupt nobles get their way? This villainess anime has you covered. After Scarlet’s fiancé breaks off their engagement, she finally snaps and exposes his corruption. From this moment forward, she pledges to make every noble pay with her fists.
A new take on the villainess genre, May I Ask for One Final Thing will have you rooting for Scarlet as she puts the hurt on assassins and any nobles who want her head on a platter. With a charming atmosphere and stellar voice acting, it’s an anime worth trying.
5) My Hero Academia: Final Season

My Hero Academia is a show that has taken the anime community by storm. With its diverse cast and combination of action and heart, people have found themselves captivated by the adventures of Izuku Midoriya, aka Deku. Throughout his quest to be the Number One Hero, Deku has faced challenges on all fronts courtesy of the League of Villains and the man pulling the strings, All for One.
In the final season, we follow Deku and friends on their final mission, defeating the Symbol of Evil and his pupil, Tomura Shigaraki. With stunning visuals and a story that will have you on the edge of your seats, My Hero Academia is here to deliver its last hurrah. 6) This Monster Wants to Eat Me

If romance is what you’re after, look no further than This Monster Wants to Eat Me. A supernatural take on the romance genre, we follow Hinako, a girl who lives in a seaside town. But things aren’t easy for her. Following her parents’ dying in an accident, Hinako has held the secret desire to die. On top of that, her flesh is deemed irresistible to yokai.
One such monster, a mermaid named Shiori, has promised to protect Hinako until her flesh is good enough to eat. With a grim atmosphere and a plot that sees Hinako and Shiori get closer, this anime will give you chills in more ways than one.
7) Jujutsu Kaisen Execution

IMDb: 6.8/10
Where to Watch: In theaters on December 5th
An anime beloved by many, Yuji Itadori and friends return in the movie, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution. Execution is a recap movie featuring scenes from the second season to bring viewers up to speed. But if you think it’s all just Season 2 with a fresh coat of paint, then you’re sorely mistaken.
Execution has a special treat for fans with the first two episodes of Season 3, The Culling Game Part 1, ready for your viewing pleasure. With Jujutsu Kaisen’s return set for January of 2026, Execution is a perfect watch if you’re a fan of the series and can’t wait for Season 3 to hit Crunchyroll.
8) Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days

When Kiyoko Yoshida is voted class president, she finds herself sitting next to Tsuyoshi Yano, a young boy covered head to toe in bruises. One day, she follows him to make sure no one’s bullying him. But it turns out, he’s just extremely clumsy.
Follow this cute and fluffy love story that sees two students navigate their budding relationship as Yano just wishes to be normal alongside everyone else. If a soft love story is what you’re after, then make sure to give Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days a shot.
