Leading the most popular movies on Netflix is “Project Power”, a Netflix original starring Jamie Foxx, Dominique Fishback, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The movie has held the #1 spot for two weeks now, since its premiere on August 14.

Directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulamn, “Project Power” centers on the production of an ominous pill that grants short-lived superpowers to those who consume it. However, all that glitters is not gold, for the consumption of the pill comes with its side effects.

An ex-soldier, a cop, and a teenage dealer come together in an effort to pin down the creators of the pill and put an end to the pill’s power.

The 2019 film, “Drunk Parents”, starring Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek, rank second. Despite its popularity however, the film doesn’t appear to have the best ratings according to reviews on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes

Other popular films include “The Sleepover” (Netflix Original), “Despicable Me”, and the classic “Jurassic Park”.
