The assumptions on X had people defend Taylor Swift by saying that she was probably told to not even touch or hug Dion due to her condition.

“When it comes to award ceremonies, everything is loud and chaotic, so you can’t expect someone to see and acknowledge everyone in that scenario,” said Raven Hanning.

Fans have claimed that Swift did not acknowledge or even make eye contact with Dion. The fans claimed that Swift didn’t pay any attention to Dion as she celebrated the moment and began her speech.

Some posts stated that Swift acknowledged Dion before taking the award. Some people say that she even cheered for Dion when they announced her to come up and present the award.
