Technology is always getting smaller and smaller. Following the trends of being compact, but nostalgic, PlayStation is realising ‘PlayStation Classic’.
The new console mimics the design of the original 1994 PlayStation. However, it is 45% smaller. This trend was started by Nintendo releasing the NES Classic Mini and SNES Classic Mini. These products celebrate the trends of nostalgia that millennials often crave. They are smaller, with better memory and obviously updated to comply with our other modern technologies.

The specs for the console includes an HDMI port to connect to your TV, with two wired controllers. These controllers are the iconic controllers from 25 years ago. It comes loaded with 20 classic PlayStation games. Also, the console has room for memory cards, so you can save where you are before flipping from title to title.
Which classic games would you like to see?
So far; Final Fantasy VII, TEKKEN 3, R4: Ridge Racer Type 4, Jumping Flash!, and Wild Arms are the first 5 to be announced. The following 15 will be announced leading to the December release.
We can only imagine this will be ending up on many hardcore gamers Christmas lists. There is no official UK pricing as of yet, but at $99.99 it’s a good thing there is some time to save up.
