Who can we expect to pop out at Vogue’s iconic annual springtime soiree?
The 2026 Met Gala will commence on Monday, May 4, 2026, at roughly 5:30 p.m. EST. This year’s theme is “Costume Art,” which connects traditional historical art with the history of fashion and clothing. This Met Gala will celebrate how bodies are blank canvases for interpretive arts. In the same vein, the event’s dress code is “Fashion is Art,” which seeks to dress human bodies with the garments that perfectly honor them.
Teyana Taylor

A confirmed attendee for the event, Teyana Taylor strikes audiences again with her sophisticated talent and beauty. One red carpet after another.
Taylor, the creative Swiss Army knife, is known for styling herself. However, at the prestigious Golden Globes, she wore a custom Schiaparelli gown that revealed a stunning silhouette in all-black, with a “party in the back.” At the Globes, she won Best Supporting Actress for her role in One Battle After Another (2025), which marked a major breakthrough in her acting career.
We can expect Teyana to level up her aura at this year’s Met Gala with either a new collaborator or sticking with the designers that already make her look FAB. Either way, we are all set to see her at the Gala!
Bad Bunny

If the KING of Puerto Rico can rock ZARA during the 2026 Super Bowl, we can definitely see him eating up this theme at the Met Gala. Even in the extras’ costumes, we can see how the Super Bowl’s creative direction was defined by a distinct color palette. On top of this sea of tans and browns, we see Bad Bunny in an off-white padded jersey with matching pants.
The rapper is known for his bold and elegant men’s fashion style. Given Bunny’s past collaborations with flashy brands like Gucci and Adidas, we are hyped for what’s in store for the Met.
Alex Consani

Alex Consani is all about face. She’s the face of a Gen-Z, queer generation whose face card has never once declined. She is unapologetically herself, fueling her social media presence with humor and her model world filled with serving c*nt.
After claiming the title of 2024 Model of the Year, Consani is more than just a fashion model; she is a role model for queer youth. It is inspiring to see a young trans woman take a rigid industry like fashion by the reins and run it as she sees fit.
We can expect to see her at the Gala this year. However, who she will collaborate with is undetermined. Anything Alex wears will leave audiences gagged and wanting more. However, some highlights of her career include runway and editorial projects with established brands such as D Squared, Versace, and Gucci.
Jeff Bezos

Yes, the billionaire and owner of Amazon will not only be attending the event, but will also serve as the honorary co-chair of this year’s Gala with his wife, Lauren Sánchez Bezos.
Jeff Bezos is confirmed to attend the event, but is he confirmed to break the male black-tux curse? Hopefully, we will see something new from Bezos. Since Bezos and his wife aren’t known primarily in the fashion industry, it could be quite exciting to see them try something new with their interpretations of the dress code.
Beyoncé

Queen B is not only a confirmed attendee of the Gala, but is also co-hosting the event with actress and face of AMC, Nicole Kidman, challenging tennis star Venus Williams, and past Editor-in-Chief of Vogue and fashion legend Anna Wintour.
Could Beyoncé be dressed in something that teases a new project? Regardless, whatever Mother gives us will not disappoint.
Connor Storrie (left) & Hudson Williams (right)

This unmatched duo’s popularity skyrocketed following the release of their hit hockey romance series, Heated Rivalry. The two are not confirmed for the event; however, given their careers and editorial shoots so far this year, it’s not impossible to see them as guests.
Regardless of attendance, their GQ shoot will go down in gay history. Trust.
Zendaya

As two of the most sought-after Gala attendees, Zendaya and her stylist, Law Roach, if confirmed, are definitely making the best-dressed list. Curating her iconic Joan of Arc soldier Versace look from 2018, Roach is a master of the craft — and not just styling but being on theme! One of my favorites from Zendaya was the 2019 Cinderella-inspired light-up dress from Tommy Hilfiger, with Law styling her once again. I’m thrilled to see what the masters of craft will pop out with this year.
Harry Styles

A king of pastels, we expect to see a pop king like Harry at the Gala. His outfits are known for being flashy and 70s-inspired. Styles will likely show up in something colorful and gender-bending, with some additional fire-flared pants. Having teared up the runway at other Met events in the past, we are hyped to see him in something in a signature Harry Styles style.
Given his interesting suit colors and tailoring, we can expect Styles to wear a clean-cut Gucci suit with loud patterns. In terms of costume art, Harry Styles may be able to jump even further out of his comfort zone, having a more memorable silhouette than a basic suit, patterned or not.
Emma Chamberlain

As a previous host and multi-year guest at the Gala, Emma is one of the most looked-forward-to guests each May. She commonly collaborates with Louis Vuitton and Jean Paul Gaultier.
Chamberlain can also be seen as a face of the Gen-Z generation, serving as a role model for being herself and promoting both high fashion and second-hand shopping. At a previous Met, she wore eBay necklaces and bracelets that beautifully showcase this balance and love for both luxury brands and more environmentally friendly ones.
I’m hoping for a pre-red carpet YouTube vlog from the coffee queen herself!
A$AP Rocky

In last year’s event, A$AP wore a beautiful black parka with a diamond-studded umbrella. Rocky also had the honor of co-hosting last year with the one and only Anna Wintour and other hosts, including Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, and Pharrell Williams. Highlighting the “Tailoring Black Style” exhibition, it was clear A$AP was a perfect fit for the hosting position, given his background as a “Fashion Killa.”
This year, we can likely see him working with higher-end brands like Gucci or Moncler on something that fits the theme. Usually seen together at most Red Carpets, he and his long-term partner, Rihanna, may wear something that complements each other and their relationship. A$AP said in an interview on The Ebro Show that he is very happy to be a partner, father, artist, and lover of clothes.
Rihanna

Another extremely hyped-up guest is the iconic and majestic Rihanna. Having bold and eccentric styling collaborations, we can expect her to hopefully bring the energy like she consistently does.
Rihanna and Met Gala fans all know how legendary her 2018 Met Gala look was. Rihanna was dressed in a beautifully ornate Maison Margiela dress designed by John Galliano, with a matching Pope catholic hat. Alongside A$AP at events like the Met, we can expect big and beautiful things coming our way from the iconic fashion and musical duo.
Sam Smith

Since working with designer and partner Christian Cowan a few years back, we could see Smith team up with him again for this year’s look. Even though we have seen just a black suit and tie in the past, the theme of using the body as art could be an interesting perspective at play to style himself into something more out there.
Sam’s tour for his song “Unholy,” featuring Kim Petras, featured a theme of ungodliness and the anti-Christ. Because it received some backlash for this controversial choice, it would be dope to see him in something themed like those performances’ costumes.
Angela Bassett

Bassett’s first Met Gala was only in 2025, so audiences and fans are thrilled to see if she has made the guest list once again. Working with Burberry and Law Roach last spring, American Horror Story fans can’t wait to see what she pulls off next, whether it’s with similar collaborations or something completely different.
When it comes to someone who doesn’t have 5+ Met Galas under their belt, audiences are in for a surprise. They get to see new collaborators and see celebrities like Bassett in their favorite designer’s wear.
Heidi Klum
One of my favorite times of the year, besides the Met Gala, is HEIDIWEEN! Heidi Klum — judge, model, actress, and costume superstar — hosts a huge Halloween party every year where she dresses in the most obscure and random costumes. These are not just your normal toilet paper mummy, however. The dedication to makeup, realism, and grotesqueness is out of this world. Klum has dressed as a variety of creatures, including E.T., a worm, a peacock, and Fiona from Shrek.
Obviously, we know the German-American baddie can work it in a costume, but how will she push the theme of her body being art (much like a costume) to the max? Is Heidiween the only time she can dress like this, or could this year’s Met Gala theme be an exception? Time will tell!
No matter what these illustrious celebs will wear, the Met Gala is a place where they and their designers should stand up to say something with the craft of fashion and styling. This year, the Met Gala is for telling stories of fashion history and revisiting moments of beauty and life through the lens of Costume Art.
So do you agree with this list? Hopefully, some of your favorite celebrities made the cut in the article! This year’s theme is so exciting for the world of fashion as well as the broader world of art and its history. Tune in to the Met Gala on Monday, May 4th, 2026. Official coverage will be available on Vogue.com and YouTube.
