Home Alone actor Macaulay Culkin took to Twitter this week to recreate his Home Alone days by means of face mask.
Over the past few months, face masks have played an increasingly important role in our day-to-day life as we try to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
While most of us don the surgical blue masks, Macaulay Culkin has hands down won the PPE contest. He took to Twitter on Wednesday to debut his iconic Home Alone face mask, wittingly commenting “Just staying Covid-safe wearing by the flayed skin of my younger self. Don’t forget to wear your masks, kids.”
This tweet comes after Culkin trolled the internet by announcing in August that he, the young boy abandoned at Christmas who wanders onto our screens every year, turned 40.
The image on Culkin’s face mask is of course from the moment in Home Along when Keven McCallister puts on aftershave only to realise that it burns.
Twitter users were quick to respond with equally as witty comments.
One person said: “Are you going to post a pic with the mask or?”
Another hit a low blow and exclaimed: “This is the worst thing you have ever done and I’ve seen Richie Rich.“
A third user even went as far as to say: “Seems like a good candidate for president”. But that is another topic altogether.
