The beautiful Italian docks of Venice have long hosted the famous Venice Film Festival and its renowned red carpet, showcasing actors, actresses, stylists, models, and even royalty. This year’s carpet was no exception. Marking the end of British summertime and the celebration of its 80th edition, the celebrity styles were better than ever.

Sydney Sweeney
Sydney Sweeney attended events by both Miu Miu and Giorgio Armani in Venice, both coinciding with the Venice Film Festival’s 80th anniversary. Stylist Molly Dickinson curated Sweeney’s glamors and playful looks over the weekend. This black fishtail gown with red embellishments was worn at the Armani Beauty cocktail party two days prior to the Venice Film Festival’s beginning.
Jacob Elordi
Fans have been going wild over Jacob Elordi’s new look and hairstyle while attending the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of the upcoming release of the biopic ‘Priscilla’ in which he will play Elvis Presley. Wearing head-to-toe Valentino on the carpet, Elordi is shown here arriving before the premiere in a grey Bottega Veneta silk jacket and trousers from the pre-fall 2023 collection. Jessica Chastain opted for a glamorous and bold rose gold Gucci gown on the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of her new film ‘Memory’. This gown featured a plunging collared neckline adored in rose gold sequins giving a shimmering effect along the carpet. Chastain accessorized with a Bulgaria ring and chandelier earrings, keeping it simple but effective.

Mariacarla Boscono wore Dolce & Gabbana to the Venice Film Festival opening ceremony, creating a showstopper look. The red chiffon gown was paired with a red laced corset, a red hood, and a cape. Red chiffon stockings and gloves were added to complete the modern ‘red riding hood’ inspired look.

Georgina Rodriguez, the girlfriend of famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, was seen arriving on the red carpet for the premiere of the film ‘Enea’. Channeling her inner ‘Pretty Woman’ in a gorgeous red off-the-shoulder gown paired with white gloves designed by the fashion house Vetements. The dress featured a tie waist detail and a sweeping train, truly catching the eye on the carpet. The star accessorized the look with a statement jeweled white gold and ruby necklace from Pasquale Bruni.
Venice Film Festival History
The International Venice Film Festival is the oldest and most prestigious film festival in the world. Celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, it was organized for the first time in 1932. Due to the popularity of the event, it became an annual event from 1935 onwards.
Every year, the event presents a small selection of world-class films. Bringing together some of the most successful and famous celebrities from all over the globe. Today, it is also seen as a big social event with top fashion houses using it as an excuse to host events coinciding with the film festival and style celebrities for the carpet and premieres.
