Ever seen a pair of old shoes lying along the side of the street and thought nothing of them? Well, YouTuber John Manalo will make you look twice the next time you come across a dirty pair.
In his most recent video, he finds a pair of original 1995 Air Jordan Bred 1’s which he painstakingly restores, the process ranging from getting rid of some creepy crawlies that had started using it as their home to resoling and restitching parts of the shoe.
The shoes are part of the first line that Nike did with world-famous basketball star Michael Jordan back in the 80s. The black and red colour scheme was extremely controversial when it was first released, and Jordan himself described the shoes as ugly in an interview back in 1986.
Despite its rocky start, the shoes are very much a coveted item in the sneaker world as being the first partnership and beginnings of the successful AirJordan line with the legend himself.
