Celebrity Fashionistas: Paris Fashion Week 2023

For Paris Fashion Week 2023, celebrities turned heads with haute-couture looks. Though most of them didn’t walk the runway, they still made headlines.

Paris made headlines recently–not as the City of Love, but as the City of Fashion. This past week, A-list celebrities flocked to France to sit front-row at high-class fashion shows. To illustrate these haute-couture looks, here’s the rundown on who was there and what they wore for Paris Fashion Week 2023.

Loewe Menswear Show

The running theme of the Lowe Menswear Fall-Winter line is, as their website states, “an emphasis on materiality that draws from the sumptuous paintings of the old masters.” With this in mind, celebrities appeared at the show with dark statement pieces, pops of color, and simple silhouettes.

Kit Connor at Loewe Menswear event.

Kit Connor, breakout star of Netflix’s “Heartstopper,” stopped some hearts of his own at the Loewe Menswear Fall-Winter 2023-2024 fashion show. As he sat front-row, he wore an army green sweater, black leather pants, an orange cross-body bag, and multicolored tennis shoes.

Timothee Chalamet at Loewe Menswear event.

Sitting up front with Connor was film star Timothee Chalamet, best known for his roles in Dune, Call Me by Your Name, Little Women, and more. In reference to the theme, Chalamet kept it fairly simple. Accordingly, his outfit consisted of a white undershirt, black mixed-material jacket, bronze necklace, dark shades, blue pants, and clean white sneakers.

Omar Rudberg at Loewe Menswear event.

Rounding out the Loewe lineup is Omar Rudberg from Netflix’s “Young Royals.” This Venezuelan-Swedish actor wore an all-black ensemble with a long-sleeve shirt, coat, shorts, and a bright green pop of color for his handbag. He must have been cold in those shorts, but at least he looked good!

AMI Paris Show

Designer Alexandre Mattiussi presented clean, simple, on-the-go looks at his Fall-Winter show. Celebrity guests wore casual, light-colored outfits to match this theme.

Noah Schnapp for AMI Fall-Winter collection.

Noah Schnapp, from Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” made his first public appearance since coming out via Tiktok and inspiring international headlines earlier this month. His front-row fashion show outfit consisted of a navy blue top, white coat and pants, and a black belt. Although Schnapp himself didn’t walk the runway, he looked to be right at home in the audience.

Dylan O’Brien for AMI Fall-Winter collection.

Dylan O’Brien, from “Teen Wolf” and The Maze Runner, sat next to Schnapp in the front row. Similarly, he wore a light cream-colored trench coat with a dark outfit underneath, finishing it off with white tennis shoes. This simple look undeniably captured the theme of a casual city-goer on the move.

Ross Lynch and Jaz Sinclair for AMI Fall-Winter collection.

Ross Lynch, from bands R5 and Driver Era, as well as Disney show “Austin and Ally,” appeared with his girlfriend Jaz Sinclair, best known for Paper Towns, When the Bough Breaks, and “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.” Lynch wore an all-denim outfit, while Sinclair kept it polished with a dark coat and pants, white undershirt, and a dark brown handbag. Additionally, Sinclair sported the AMI Paris logo, a heart with an “A” underneath, on the top of her shirt.

Schiaparelli Show

Haute designer Daniel Roseberry used the poem “Dante’s Inferno” as an inspiration for his ss23 collection, which translated into some seriously wild looks. “Wild,” in this case, is meant in a literal sense. Models wore fake animal heads, surreal designs, and outrage-stirring pieces, meant to symbolize the vices of lust, pride, and avarice. Celebrities, of course, did the same.

Kylie Jenner for Schiaparelli ss23.

Kylie Jenner made waves in her faux-lion’s-head ensemble, which also appeared on the runway. It might not be the most practical outfit, but it definitely made a statement! The jury’s still out, however, on whether that statement is ethical or not.

Doja Cat for Schiaparelli ss23.

In spite of Jenner’s Lion-King outfit, Doja Cat took center stage. It’s hard to one-up someone wearing a lion’s head on their chest, but if anyone can do it, it’s Doja. Surprisingly, she was covered head-to-toe in 30,000 Swarovski crystals, which makeup artist Pat McGrath said took 4 hours and 58 minutes to apply by hand. In accordance with the theme, she called the look “Doja’s Inferno.” Whether it’s insane, inspired, or a mix of both, is completely up to interpretation.

Final Thoughts

It’s rare to see this many celebrities all in one place. However, Paris Fashion Week is the best occasion for A-listers to strut their stuff, even if they’re not actually walking the runway! Regardless of they wore, or what went on behind the scenes, hopefully everyone had a good time. Overall, the entire week was meant to uplift and celebrate upcoming fashion, and the world’s celebrities are definitely at the forefront of that movement.
