Indian Summer School was shown for the first time on channel 4 last week and the first episode really got people talking!

The show sees five boys aged 17 and 18 who have either failed their GCSE’s or dropped out of school at a young age, travel to India to face some home truths.

The aim of the programme is to show the young students from across England what it is like to be educated at a strict establishment, in this case Doon School in India.

The first episode saw the lads settling in to their new way of life and getting ready for the tough six months of learning ahead of them.

They may have tested the water by trying to smuggle alcohol in to the school and sacking off some of the lessons but by the end of the episode, three of the five boys seemed to be making progress.

And as viewers got to know the boys better, you can’t help but hope they all succeed on their journey!

If you fancy catching up on the show, it is on Channel 4 on Thursdays at 9pm.

Students are bound to be annoyed about this- find out what London schools want to ban!
