Timotheé Chalamet is starring in A24’s newest film Marty Supreme, which releases in theaters December 25, 2025. The press tour for this film has been creative, using more than just red carpets and interviews. Chalamet and many celebrities have been promoting the film, leading to viral moments.

What is Timothée Chalamet’s newest movie?

According to A24, Marty Supreme is about “Marty Mauser, a young man with a dream no one respects” who “goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness.” The main character, Marty Mauser, is played by Chalamet. Marty Supreme also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Kevin O’Leary, Odessa A’zion, Abel Ferrara, Tyler Okonma (Tyler, the Creator), and Fran Drescher.

Just like many films, the Marty Supreme cast participated in a press tour to promote the movie. Although the film doesn’t release in theaters until December 25, 2025, the press tour started months before. The movie made its world premiere in early October 2025 at the New York Film Festival as a surprise appearance. The press tour continued throughout December 2025, a few weeks before the film’s official theatrical release.

The Marty Supreme press tour has been full of viral moments. Many of the cast members of the film have color-coordinated their outfits during red carpets and interviews. Several cast members have included orange in their outfits since orange is the official color of the film’s marketing, creating the term “Marty Supreme orange.” Many celebrities have also been spotted wearing a black and blue Marty Supreme jacket that can be seen as a promotion for the film.

The Kardashian-Jenner family’s support for Marty Supreme

The Kardashian-Jenner family members have been a key part in helping promote Marty Supreme. During the Los Angeles press tour stop of the film, Kylie Jenner made an appearance with Chalamet for photos taken on the red carpet. Jenner and Chalamet have been in a relationship for a little over two years, but for the most part, the couple has kept their relationship private and out of the public eye. Occasionally, they will make public appearances but rarely discuss their relationship.

Kylie Jenner attending the Marty Supreme L.A. premiere and red carpet with Chalamet created lots of media coverage. This was primarily because, again, their relationship is usually kept very private. Although the couple has been spotted together several times, this premiere was only their second red carpet appearance. In addition, the couple wore matching outfits on the red carpet. Jenner and Chalamet both wore orange Chrome Hearts outfits, the color hinting at the film’s color theme.

In addition to Kylie Jenner showing her support for Timotheé Chalamet’s new movie, Kris Jenner also publicly showed her support for Chalamet. Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner’s mom, shared a photo on her Instagram story wearing a jacket that said Marty Supreme. Jenner captioned the photo “‘MARTY SUPREME’ Christmas Day!!!!!!” to promote the movie and share its release date. Kylie Jenner’s sister Kendall Jenner was also spotted wearing a Marty Supreme jacket months before the film’s official premiere.

Celebrities who promoted Marty Supreme

Celebrities have had a major impact on promoting Marty Supreme. In the months before the film’s release, many celebrities have been spotted wearing a Marty Supreme jacket. This viral black and blue jacket has been seen on celebrities, whether photographed by paparazzi or through promotion on social media.

Some celebrities who have been spotted wearing this jacket include Hailey Bieber, Tom Brady, Kid Cudi, several members of the Kardashian-Jenner family, and Timotheé Chalamet. Specifically, Tom Brady and Kid Cudi appeared on the official Marty Supreme Instagram page wearing the jacket. Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner were spotted wearing the jacket, but did not explicitly promote the movie.

How have press tours changed in recent years?

Over the past few years, press tours have changed from the conventional red carpet premieres and interviews. Press tours still consist of red carpets and interviews, but there are now more ways to promote. Social media has allowed for more creative marketing and promotional opportunities to reach larger audiences. Having a moment or marketing campaign for a movie go viral on social media can really help promote the movie to more people.

A notable example of press tours changing is from the movie Barbie in summer 2023. Margot Robbie, who played Barbie in the film, wore outfits during the worldwide press tour that had historical meaning to the Barbie doll. This press tour and moments from the press tour went viral on social media before and during the movie’s theatrical release. This press tour and marketing campaign is often credited for the success of Barbie, leading to this movie becoming Warner Bros.’ highest-grossing movie in the company’s history.

The Marty Supreme press tour, with its orange color scheme for outfits and viral Marty Supreme jacket, seems to be following in the new press tour trends. These moments have been covered in the media through headlines and shared across social media platforms.

Will celebrities promoting the movie help its success?

Celebrities promoting Marty Supreme can definitely help the movie’s success. This is because celebrities usually have huge fan bases. In terms of the Marty Supreme press tour, a variety of celebrities helped to promote the film. By combining a mix of celebrities from different industries to promote the film, there could be an increased reach of people who want to see the movie. Seeing someone’s favorite celebrity displaying merch from a movie could make them more interested in watching the movie.

The Marty Supreme jacket marketing plan was also very strategic and not very flashy. This allowed people to become interested without feeling like they are constantly seeing a direct advertisement for the movie. The celebrity jacket marketing plan also became covered by entertainment publications and popular on social media.

Utilizing celebrity influence for movie promotion and a creative marketing strategy will definitely help promote Marty Supreme. This will likely also contribute in a positive way to the movie’s overall success at the box office. People who see Marty Supreme being discussed because of its press tour in the media can make them want to see the movie.
