Police Play Super Smash Bros When Responding To Noise Complaint

Cops can play video games too!

Have you ever had that ‘oh shit’ feeling when the police have come to tell you to shut your party down?

Well, that’s probably how this started out, but not how it ended. A group of friends in Saint Paul, Minnesota, got together to celebrate the release of Ultimate Super Smash Bros. Their plan was to keep playing each other over and over into the night, which, as you can imagine, got a little heated. This is where the cops come in. Police were called over due to the loud noise. Instead of them shutting the whole night down, they actually joined in and played a game!

We don’t know who won. But I would assume the guys let the cops have the win since they were being so cool. Stories like this give me hope that encounters with the police are not always negative. In fact, I think there are far more positive encounters with law enforcement; we just don’t hear about them. So thank you to this guy for making this public. Cops aren’t all bad folks.
