This whole Covid-19 thing sucks, plain and simple. Every aspect and decision of our lives is completely dominated by the looming pandemic lingering outside of our doors. Although countries, local governments, and the medical community as a whole have tried to implement rules to slow the spread of Covid-19, some fidgety people just can’t handle the ‘stay at home’ rule. Take for instance the YouTube channel Buttery Films which has recently posted a video of themselves riding dirt bikes around a sand-filled skateboard in California.
Why did California fill a skatepark with sand? State officials made the seemingly odd decision with the intention of deterring skateboarders from gathering and potentially spreading Covid-19. This, however, had no effect on keeping Buttery Films from “social shredding” as they say in their pinned YouTube comment. It’s nice to see people trying to keep some sense of normalcy and sanity in these uncanny times, but please be safe going out in public. The sooner we all comply with the guidelines set by the medical community — as annoying as they may be — the sooner we can allreturn to a semblance of what used to be standard everyday life.
