A new viral video cleverly exposes the shady practices of landlords. Staged like a journalistic investigation, but with humorous editing tricks, the video currently stands at 13K views. Jeff Seal, New York comedian and filmmaker, runs a YouTube channel dedicated to quick and funny content. Seal rose to popularity with his 2016 film “Adventures of a Hobo Clown King,” which focused on train-hopping.
This video is the third in a series. First came “This is New York City’s Worst Landlord,” then “How to Catch a Landlord.” Both videos run about 20 minutes, but don’t worry about not being caught up! The conclusion of this epic trilogy summarizes the last two episodes.
To get into the convention, Seal created a shady persona that passed inspection with flying colors. He fit right in: landlords around him begin to share surprising details about their business practices. Some even admit to knowing they break the law just to make more money.
