Curious to know what a normal day at the St. Gallen Academy looks like? Buckle up, please, and have a safe flight.
This idea, conceived by New Step Media, required precise planning and zero tolerance for any mistakes. The shooting of the spectacular drone flight took place under extreme conditions, as all scenes had to be correct in flight. A wrong action by the 46 extras or the drone pilot meant a new start.
Throughout the video, the drone maneuvers through tight spaces, student “actors,” and campus structures like a water fountain.
The drone begins its journey inside of a student’s dorm, exits their window, and makes its way across the campus of St. Gallen Academy. The drone picks up on a student who’s late to class and follows him as he walks in on a lecture on marketing.
The drone leaves the classroom and shows off the stunning structure of what appears to be a building comprised of a cafeteria/dining hall, a couple of lounge areas, and more classrooms.

According to New Step Media, this is the longest drone first-person view one shot. When it comes to flying an FPV drone, essentially this means that pilots of FPV drones see what the drone sees. Traditional drones differ from this as they are piloted through the pilot’s perspective on the ground.
According to their website, the St. Gallen Academy is a cantonal educational institution with around 1,400 students. They are one of the leading providers in Eastern Switzerland in the area of commercial and business management training for adults.
