The viral video gained a whopping 9 million views in just 24 hours.

Viral videos are, quite honestly, a pillar of modern day society. A beacon of the 21st century, some might say.

To name but a few of the most memorable viral videos, there was The Annoying Orange, Charlie Bit My Finger, Susan Boyle’s BGT audition. The list truly goes on forever.

Incase you were wondering (you probably weren’t), one of my personal favourites is that one where the baby panda sneezes. You know which one I’m talking about,

The latest video added to the viral Hall of Fame however, is unexpected to say the least.

To be honest, I hadn’t even seen this before I was assigned this article, so I was a little surprised.

Nevertheless, it currently has around 19 million views, making it the most viral video of all time.

The video captures a helicopter rescue mission in the Arizona desert, after a 74-year old female hiker injures herself.

Sounds pretty boring, right? Wrong.

The rescue mission it would seem, doesn’t quite go to plan.

Don’t worry, the woman is safe and recovering well, but the rescue didn’t look at all fun for her.

You can watch the full video here, and honestly, you need to watch it through to the end:

Feels like that scene in The Sandlot when everyone blows chunks after throwing in huge lips pic.twitter.com/dPkDj9Kipm— Cass Anderson (@casspa) June 5, 2019

It reminds me of those little spinning top things you got as kids. It’s amusing to watch but honestly, poor woman, I’d be amazed if she didn’t throw up during that ordeal.
