At the cusp of this new year, an iconic mistake has taken over social media. At this point, everyone is familiar with the climate activist Greta Thunberg. However, there seems to be a few exceptions to this.
A woman on Mastermind after being asked “The 2019 book entitled No One Is Too Small to Make a Difference is a collection of speeches made by a Swedish climate change activist. What’s her name” promptly responding with the name “Sharon”.
The public response to this comment has made the clip viral and a common topic for memes. The comment is being referred to as the ‘dumbest clip of the new decade’ as Greta Thunberg is a household name that is hard to miss in current media. On top of this the fact that the question specifically asks for a ‘Swedish’ name adds to the comedic affect as Sharon is definitely not a typical Swedish name.
As for Greta Thunberg herself she has taken well to the video finding it just as funny as the public. She has even gone so far as to change her twitter name to Sharon as a ode to the joke.
