The Georgia Aquarium played host to an unusual set of guests recently – a band of puppies.
The puppies came from the Atlanta Humane Society, a no-kill shelter that protects and fosters adoption for a range of animals.
On Twitter, they shared a video of the puppies having the best time at the aquarium.
Due to the quarantine, the aquarium was completely deserted, and the puppies had free-range. If we can’t go out and enjoy these things, I’m glad the puppies are getting to.
The Atlanta Humane Society said the puppies had ‘the best day ever’, and who can blame them? It seemed many people on twitter also had ‘the best day ever’ watching the puppies at the aquarium. The tweet has so far racked up 2.4 million views, and 108.3K likes.
The two puppies in the video were ‘siblings Odie and Carmel’. The Atlanta Humane Society used the video to highlight the work they do, saying that, whilst Odie and Carmel are in ‘loving foster homes’, there are many who still are looking for good homes.
The post linked to their website, where they talk about spring being their busiest time, and their desperate need for help. On the website, there are places to donate online to help.
From the viral video, it is clear the Atlanta Humane Society are intent on giving great care to their animals, and are in need of help.
