In an interview with The Ringer, Paul Rudd shared a NSFW story about his time filming Anchorman 2.
The film, a sequel to the ever popular Anchorman, came out in 2013. Rudd reprised his role as fellow anchor-man to the film’s protagonist, Ron Burgundy, played by Will Ferrell.
Rudd’s NSFW story is prompted by Kyle Brant, the interviewer, as he brings up a favourite scene of his from the movie.
Immediately recognising it, Rudd jumps in, saying:
‘There were two scenes we could never make it through, we could never shoot we were laughing so hard. That was the one on Anchorman 2.’
Which NSFW Scene Caused The Cast To Lose It Completely?
The scene he refers to finds Ron blind, upset that he can’t masturbate. Then, as Rudd tells it, Ferrell begins to improvise.
“Will is just a genius.”
Rudd on his Anchorman 2 co-star.
Ferrell starts to say that Ron ‘had to pleasure himself to the memory of Mrs Buttersworth’s – the syrup, the bottle of syrup […] and when he figured out he – the amount – he said, “now I know what those poor villagers of Pompeii experienced when they were rained down with hot ash and lava, except in my case it was not hot lava, but [laughs] hot, frothy ejaculate.”’
Brandt shows disbelief at Rudd’s ability to keep it together, at which he says:
‘I remember looking at [Steve] Carell who is usually pretty good at keeping it together – more than – and he was the worst, he was so far gone: crying, laughing.’
Rudd isn’t the only one to remember this NFSW scene. It seems this scene is a fan favourite. In the comments under the video, many expressed their pre-emptive guess of the scene the story would be about.
User Ahibbs commented: ‘I saw the title of this video and immediately thought, “this must be about the sad villagers of Pompeii.”
