As we continue to emerge back into the wild, or into a normal way of living, getting back to doing activities we love is something we’ve all been waiting for. Not everyone is ready to emerge as much as others so please keep that in mind and be kind to people who are still wearing masks. It’s a choice and it’s an acceptable one. With that being said, Luke Aikins’s skydive from 25,000 feet without a parachute from almost 5 years ago, is still a crazy sight to see.
Aikins decided that, as part of his career as a skydiver and base jumper, that he needed to add this stunt to his resume. Coming up on the 5 year anniversary, people still can’t get enough of his record-breaking stunt. First time attempting to do this and he brings alone someone to film the whole thing, whether it ended well or in a splat.
Watch The Jump To See For Yourself
How crazy is that jump? He lands perfectly in that netting like he had done that fall a million times. The Screen Actors Guild wanted him to wear a parachute even if he wasn’t going to use it but Aikins argued that wearing, it would jeopardize his fall into the netting and could hurt him worse. Now, he’s literally taking his life into his own hands by doing this stunt in the first place but this is an unreasonable request…yeah okay. Well, luckily he hit his mark and survived his stunt. Personally, I’m not looking to skydive ever, and watching this just affirmed that. But more power to him! Wonder what his next stunt will be?
