Jimmy Tatro, well known for his work on 22 Jump Street, the Netflix show Amerian Vandal, and his youtube channel LifeaccordingtoJimmy, has put his comedy to work on a parody that sums up Bitcoin Bros.
What is Bitcoin?
There is a reason I took English as a degree instead of maths; maths goes way over my head, much like Bitcoin when it became popular last year. In layman’s terms, it is a digital currency. According to Coin Desk:
Bitcoin is a form of digital currency, created and held electronically. No one controls it. Bitcoins aren’t printed, like dollars or euros – they’re produced by people, and increasingly businesses, running computers all around the world, using software that solves mathematical problems.
It’s the first example of a growing category of money known as cryptocurrency.
Also, it is made via a mathematical formula that is freely available, and used by programmers such as the Bitcoin bros.
What is a Bitcoin Bro?
Somehow, we all know a Bitcoin Bro, or a Brogrammer, or a lad who just wants to crush some codes with the boys. In other words, a bitcoin bro.
Bitcoin Bro’s can also be characterized as know it all’s when really, do they know what they are talking about? Are they mathematical geniuses or are they just some knuckleheads jumping on board with the next trend, or as they like to call it, an aesthetic?
