A Broke 24-Year-Old Has Won The $768.4 Million Powerball Jackpot

A broke 24-year-old has hit jackpot!

Kudos to him and his luck!

The third largest lottery amount was recorded in history last month due to the Powerball breaking numbers and raising up to $768.4 million. Not only were people getting antsy about winning, but the stakes were high. However, there could only be ONE lucky winner and that individual was Manuel Franco.

Manuel is a 24-year-old resident of West Allis, Wisconsin and was struggling to keep his bank account up to $1,000 before he had won. How relatable?

During the press conference this past Tuesday, April 23rd, Manuel talks more about his experience of buying his Powerball tickets at a Speedway in New Berlin and feeling a surge of luck the moment he purchased them. He was feeling so lucky that he wanted to wink at the security camera’s as he was leaving but fought the urge to do so.

Manuel had still gone to work the day after he had won the Powerball, but then quit and never returned back. According to Powerball, Manuel decided to take the lump sum cash value of $477 million and will receive over $326 million over taxes.

Although Manuel doesn’t know what the future holds for him and his new fortune, he does know that he wants to use it towards helping the world.

Good luck to you, Manuel!
