David Blaine is taking commuting to a new level as he plans to travel from New Jersey to New York by floating through the air strapped to helium balloons. He has claimed that this stunt has been “10 years in the making.”

On 12th August, the 47-year-old tweeted “Let’s turn worry into wonder and take magic to new heights” along with a youtube trailer named ‘David Blaine, Ascension.’ On 10th August, he cryptically tweeted “All we have to do is look up and rise above” leading many people to speculate the meaning of the message.

In an interview with Sylvester Stallone posted on Instagram, Blaine drags on a cigar and excitedly discusses that this stunt is all he has been “thinking about since [I] was a little kid.”

David Blaine has been known for his out-there and daring stunts, which frequently test his endurance such as his 1999 stunt where he spent 7 days buried underground in a plastic box. However, this stunt seems to be his most adventurous yet.
