Robot arms are always cool.

Technology saved the day for this little puppy.

Oh, puppies. We love ‘em, and for good reason. But what can you do when man kind’s best friend ends up trapped in a 20ft drain?

Well, apparently the answer is: robots.

Unfortunately, in India a little puppy got trapped in a drain somehow. Not only is it filthy, but it’s 20ft. That’s pretty steep.

But don’t worry too much. There’s a hero to this story.

Engineer Milind Raj just so happened to have a custom drone lying around. Through the use of artificial intelligence, they managed to lift the puppy out of the drain. So robot arms aren’t just for coolness.

In the video below, you can see it all unfold:

A few astute comments pointed out that they could’ve totally used a ladder. Let’s be real, this makes better clickbait. Still, uh, innovation and technology!

Either way, I’m just glad the pup is safe.

I can’t help the dumb animal part of my brain that squees when I see a puppy getting rescued. That is, if it really did just “fall” in. Is that too cynical? I can’t help but come up with conspiracy theories when I see stuff like this.

Let’s just hope it was spontaneous heroism!
