Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas was left red faced on court after his mother gave him a talking to in front of a whole stadium.
The world number 6 found himself in hot water after accidentally hitting his father (who is also his coach) with his tennis racquet during an angry outburst, prompting good old mum to come down from her seat and give him a talking to. See the video below:
Tsitsipas faced a double-fault as neither his mother or father looked overly impressed. Somewhat ironically, Tsitsipas lost his cool while playing against Nick Kyrgios- the bad boy of tennis- in an ATP Cup match.
The Greek, 21, was warned by both the umpire and his mum, and after the match joked: “Maybe I’ll stay in my room for three days, grounded by my father”.
The professional tennis player won’t have to worry about losing any pocket money however, as his total career winnings currently stands at $10,425,605.
