Famous around the world for being the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, Dracula’s Castle, has suffered from the lack of tourists visiting due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

In addition to protection from the coronavirus, the tourist attraction is offering free admission to its exhibition of medical torchere devices.
Marketing director Alexander Priscu has made a rather dark comparison between the vaccination drive and ‘how people got jabbed 500-600 years ago in Europe.

One Twitter user had this to say:
While there is some hesitation from outsiders, the surprising number of locals that have been vaccinated has gone against their initial reactions towards the vaccine. Romania has had over a million COVID-19 cases with almost 29,000 deaths reported. The country has reportedly administered vaccinations for around 15% of the population. While it does not seem like much, it is a start to help fight against COVID-19.
