What will it take to finally address climate change?

Climate change is not something to be taken lightly. This has been going on for decades and yet it’s still not being taken as seriously as it should be. It is real there are signs all around us, drastic weather changes are a big one. Yet there are plenty of people who still continue to deny it. There always will be probably.

Pakistan is the latest place to have a heavy dose of this when a bridge collapsed on Sunday from rushing waters coming from the country’s glaciers that have been melting more and more. The Hassanabad bridge, which connects Pakistan to China, collapsed after rushing waters came tearing down from glaciers that have been melting faster because of a recent heatwave. Even though it is one of the hottest countries on the planet, there are glaciers there. They have been melting more rapidly in recent years, but this kind of event is rare.

The amount of rushing water is insane! How can people deny that this is real? People lost their houses and lives because of this disaster. You can’t deny that and say it’s not because of that. Massive wildfires in the Western United States, more severe floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes in the Midwest and the Eastern United States are also similar examples of this. Lives have been lost and/or severely altered because of these events. Something has to be done, more than just one thing, but some kind of steps need to be taken so this actually moves in the direction of fixing/saving our planet.

Climate change is real, it’s not going anywhere. We have one planet and we’re rapidly destroying it. We need to do better and help save our home!
