Cyber Monday is taking place on December 1st, following Black Friday which is on November 28th this year. This means that it falls just in time to get Christmas gifts for loved ones, or maybe get a little something for yourself during the holiday season. Plenty of big names are participating this year, and so it is definitely not to be missed! With just over a month to go, it is a good time to start planning now!
The term ‘Cyber Monday’ was first coined in 2005. It is the online alternative to Black Friday, which allows people to purchase bargains on the internet, instead of queuing outside storefronts for hours. It increases in popularity each year. Customers spent $13.3 billion last year. This was an increase of 7.3% from 2023. The number of customers have also increased rapidly. 197 million US shoppers purchased items during Cyber Monday Week in 2024.
The best deals
Major companies put out some great deals in and around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Here is a list of the biggest and best deals they have to offer!
Amazon
Amazon has always got some fantastic deals in the lead up to the festive period. There has been a report that their Black Friday deals will extend to Cyber Monday, and that there will be 70% off many items such as home goods and electronics, which rivals Amazon Prime Day, which took place in July.
There have also been some concerns over tariffs and the global trade policy. Amazon is on track for success this year, though. Tariffs do not affect eBooks, and certain software. The tariffs may affect goods like toys though.
Apple
The tech giant is also incredibly popular on Cyber Monday. Apple has already put out some products for this year. There are plenty of must have devices that are on the list, including the MacBook Air 15, Apple Watch 11, and Apple AirPods Pro 3. According to Craob, You can save up to $250.00 on an Apple 2024 MacBook Pro 14 inch.
There should be plenty of great deals on iPhones too. According to MobileTrans, you will be able to save $200.00 on an Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max at AT&T. Last year, Apple did a range of gift cards when other products were bought, such as an £80.00 gift card with an iPad Pro, iPad Air and iPad 10th-generation purchase. Certainly don’t miss out out on Apple products this Cyber Monday!
Walmart
As I am writing this article, Walmart have just announced their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. It claims that thousands of deals are on the way in November, and Cyber Monday on December 1st. These include: a Calvin Klein Obsession 3 perfume which was $97.00, but the event price is $31.50. The Dyson V12 Detect Slim Cordless Vacuum Cleaner will significantly decrease in price, going from $729.00 down to $399.99.
Walmart’s deals start pretty early, on November 14th. This means there is plenty of time to get discounted items!
The Cyber Monday event for Walmart takes place online only on December 1st. However, good news for Walmart+ members, who get five hours early access, beginning on November 30th, at 7:30 PM, ET. Make sure you sign up for that head start!
Clothes
It isn’t just gadgets and household items that are featured in Cyber Monday deals. Many clothing outlets are dropping their prices for you to get the best outfits in time for the festive period.
Levi’s
One brand that is taking part in Cyber Monday is Levi’s. In their sale, their famous jeans are half price. It isn’t just the jeans that are included in the discounts, though. There are deals for classic tees too.
You can become a Levi’s Red Tab member for an extra 10% off sitewide. However, their Cyber Week sales begin on the 16th November if you cannot wait to get started shopping.
Asos
Asos’ four day sale, starting on Black Friday and finishing on Cyber Monday, has some great deals guaranteed. There are over 850 brands on offer. These include: Adidas, Topshop, New Balance and The North Face. They say that the deals are going to be ‘huge’! You absolutely don’t want to miss out on this sale!
The company recommends that for Cyber Monday, you download the app. App users will be the first to know about early offers and discounts. Furthermore, you can save your favourite items in time for the sales. On the Asos app, you can organise them into boards, so it is easier to keep track of what you love!
Books
Finally for all you book lovers out there, you’ll be pleased to know that every year, Barnes & Noble participate in both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. They offer special collections as well as exclusive deals. Last year, popular paperbacks were 50% off. There were also discounts on 9″ Lenovo Tablets, audiobooks and children’s books. It is expected this year will be similar!
