Head on over to 165 Forest Road located in Vail, Colorado to see the mansion that is worth $45 million. This Rocky Mountain mansion is 9,000 square feet with marble fireplaces and is steps from Vail mountain – it is truly the epitome of luxury.

Now, it is simply a fact that the prices of homes have dramatically increased since the 1960s. This 2019 article by Business Insider ranked US home listings (median listing price) from affordable to most expensive. Where does Colorado fall on this list? #5 – its median listing price coming up at $429,800 and the median listing price per square foot averages $260.

This humble – $45 million – abode on 165 Forest Road is, of course, not just any ordinary house. Its six bathrooms, eight bathrooms, and 6,500 square feet of outdoor heated decks and terraces only scratch the surface of this incredibly modern and luxurious mansion. On the lower level, there is a spa with a waterfall flowing into a hot tub, a cold plunge, a multi-body spray rain head shower, and a sauna. I mean, is a mansion really a mansion if it doesn’t have a waterfall inside of its spa room? I don’t think so.

The elevator (yes, the elevator) on the main floor will take you to the entertaining deck, or balcony. The entertaining deck has a 360-degree view of the mountains and you still (somehow) have privacy. It has a bar area with a small kitchenette and two guest bedrooms that come with walk-in closets and luxurious bathrooms. Of course, no mansion is complete without a fancy-schmancy pool. The pool in this mansion is a suspended 75-foot glass-bottom pool that is heated and the rest of the outdoor deck and terrace are heated as well.

While the unique and extravagant rooms of this $45 million mansion are jawdropping in itself, its interior and home decor are just as lavish. 70% of the walls are glass, allow a breathtaking view of the nature right outside the window, and are triple painted from Italy. There are two linear fireplaces (one in the living room, one in the entertaining deck) and the fireplace within the living room is a cantilevered heart with da Vinci marble. This kitchen also has a countertop made with exotic stones and custom wood Italian cabinets.

165 Forest Road in Vail, Colorado is truly the height of luxury – I mean, even just watching the YouTube video felt high-class. This $45 million luxurious mansion is still on the market (as of the date of this publication) if you want to take a quick peek of it on Zillow. However, if you’d rather stay in a mansion where the previous owner was a celebrity, then check out Pharrell Williams’ previous $17 million glass mansion.
