Fake Vacations: The Way Of The Future

Fake it till you make it.

Gone are the days of feeling sorry for yourself as your other friends post pictures of their illustrious vacations all over your timeline; you may not be able to actually go to these places, but you can sure as hell make your friends think you did.

Fake A Vacation is a company that offers packages to photoshop your pictures to make it look like you’re on a vacation. They can put you on the summit of Mount Everest, the Arizona dessert, or the islands of Hawaii — anywhere you choose.

I love everything about this idea. If you can’t afford a nice vacation, what’s the next best thing? Making people think you can afford a nice vacation. I feel like I’m not alone in thinking this either. In today’s day an age happiness doesn’t come from being happy, it comes from people thinking you’re happy. Right?

I mean, yeah, I’d love a vacation, but that’s just not going to happen. Why not give this a try? If you hate me, and this concept, then quit being a wet blanket. If you truly don’t care what other people think of you, then props to you, but for the majority of us, this is the type of satisfaction we need. We know this probably isn’t healthy, but we need this.

These people get it, I’ll take 12.
