Man in Self-Isolation Sends Dog on Errand

Not all heroes wear capes, sometimes they are dogs being ‘such a good boy’.

Amid all the doom and gloom of the COVID outbreak, there are little pockets of fun and joy to be found. Across the globe, we are seeing the Stay At Home movement working. We are seeing what happens when responsible people recognize that this virus means business, but we can mean business too! And sometimes those people in self-isolation need a little help with their business.

Antonio Muñoz of Mexico was just a few days into his self-isolation from being exposed to COVID19 when he had a craving for a bag of chips (crisps for those of you across the pond). Not wanting to potentially spread this nasty virus, he turned to the only person he had to help him — his chihuahua!

Note attached to the dogs collar.

The note Mr. Muñoz attached to his dog’s collar, along with a $20, read:

Hello, Mr Shop Owner. Can you sell my little dog the ORANGE Cheetos, not the RED because they are spicy. In the collar is a $20. LOOK, if you don’t treat the dog right, she will bite. From your front neighbor.

As a dog owner, I can confirm that chihuahuas are not to be messed with — they certainly will bite! Luckily for all involved in this situation, no one was bitten and the little dog returned home triumphant!

The sweet, little friend returns with Orange Cheetos!

Not only can we all agree this dog is The Greatest Good, we can all applaud Mr. Muñoz for obeying quarantine rules. As more and more cities, states, and countries move towards strict quarantines and Stay At Home orders, it is imperative that we help those who live alone. Mr Muñoz is lucky to have such a good dog, but not all are so lucky. Don’t forget to text or FaceTime your neighbors — just because we are physically distancing ourselves, does not mean we have to cut each other off.

From all of us at Trill!, stay safe, stay healthy, and keep washing your darn hands!
