College Student Finds Man in Closet Wearing Her Clothes

In creepy news of the day.

Remember the monster you had in your closet when you were six? Well, that monster turned into an actual man for this college-aged woman. Talk about fears turning into reality.

Maddie, a student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, came home after a night out to find quite the surprise. Hidden in Maddie’s closet, wearing her clothes, was a strange man named Drew. Besides breaking into Maddie’s home and being a full-on creep, Drew thankfully didn’t present as violent or threatening.

While briefly talking with Drew, Maddie sent her boyfriend pictures of the stranger. Minutes later, the police showed up, apprehended Drew, and threw him in jail on a $26,600 bail. The criminal has been charged with breaking and entering, larceny, possession of stolen goods, identity theft, and failure to appear in court in connection with previous cases.

Maddie had the following to say about the encounter:

“I just heard rattling in my closet. It sounded like a raccoon in my closet.

I’m like, ‘Who’s there?’ And somebody answers, ‘Me.’

He’s like, ‘Oh my name is Drew.’ I open the door and he’s in there, wearing all of my clothes.

We always joke that there’s a ghost in here because I’ve been missing clothes since I’ve been living here, like shirts – like a shirt at a time or pants at this time.

It makes me think he’s been here before.

I’m leaving tonight, yeah, just signed a lease for a new apartment.”

Slightly chilling, huh? Who knows where this man has come from or for what other cases he’s been busted? Fortunately, Maddie stayed safe, and Drew will be locked up for a while.

Maybe Maddie should have tried the human-sized rat trap in order to keep out unwanted pests.
