Isolation Leads to the Worst DIY Haircuts

Lockdown has brought some of the most disasterous DIY haircuts.

The Tab/SWNS

Strange things have occurred whilst the whole of the UK have been stuck inside. For example, many have trusted themselves to become professional hairdressers. People have jumped into the deep-end of risky hair styles due to pure boredom. This has ended in many disastrous haircuts.

Barbers and hairdressers have been shut across the UK and this has left people stranded. This is why many are dusting off their electric razors at home and their family members are getting to work. Other people are simply bored, shaving or dying hair to give them a dose of excitement. Whatever the reason is, many of these DIY haircuts have ended up looking absolutely ridiculous.

Fades

Many bored girlfriends are attempting to give their partners haircuts during their stay in isolation. Through this, we have realised that it’s harder to do a fade than it looks. This has ended in mistakes like this:

Mullets

Also, a strange new haircut trend has erupted during the COVID quarantine, perhaps after the new Tiger King series on Netflix emerged. People have been shaving mullets into their heads. Honestly, although some are disastrous, others don’t look too bad for a DIY job. Even celebrities, such as Miley Cirus, are joining in on this trend.

Buzzcut

The buzzcut is another lockdown style that’s become popular. Heads have been shaven left, right and centre due to their being no other options for a neat-looking hairstyle. Other people are convincing their loved-ones to become bald just for the fun of using a razor.

Furthermore, hair bleaching and DIY fringes have also emerged as a staple during this time. Across social media there has been many disasters and a lot of regret documented due to impulse dyeing.

Overall, if you are debating creating a new style for yourself at home, maybe think twice.
