Burger King is Giving Away Free Kids Meals to Keep Kids Fed

The fast food giant Burger King is giving free kids meals to help families eat during the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the COVID-19 pandemic spreading like wildfire across the USA and globe, the public schools that educate students from grades K-12 across the country have been shut down as of last Friday.

The schools are being closed to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus and keep the students safe from becoming infected. But with their closure, comes a new problem. Underprivileged children who had counted on regular school attendance to have access to one to two meals a day are now having to go without it since they no longer have access to school cafeterias.

Thankfully, businesses like Burger King have stepped up in times of crisis like this, and have made steps to address the growing hunger throughout the country. The burger franchise has agreed to give away two free kids’ meals with every meal that is purchased through the app to those who need it.

The promotion began on Monday, March 23 and is running through April 6. The kids’ meals will be available through any app purchase for delivery or drive-thru. The only drawback is that it can only be used once per customer through the app during the promotion period.

Although it’s not a lot, it still is something. If you know anyone who is in need of food, consider purchasing food through the app or donate food to your local food banks and food collection agencies to help those in need during this time of crisis throughout the nation and the world.
