Ben and Jerry’s ice cream recently published on their website that they will be introducing CBD-infused ice cream as soon as it’s legalized at the federal level.

There’s no denying that the legalization of marijuana in some American states has been an up hill battle. The idea of infusing marijuana into sorts of foods isn’t new. Many more companies are trying out the new fusion and are having positive results.

This Ben & Jerry’s CBD infused ice cream has to be one of the most exciting prospects out there though. Many question the taste and the effects it may have.

Currently, the FDA prohibits adding CBD to food and beverages.

Ben and Jerry said, “We’re doing this for our fans.”

According to Fast Company, “unless their CBD ice cream contains “obscene” amounts of CBD, consumers probably won’t notice any of CBD’s purported chillaxing side effects, unless they pair it with legal weed or a healthy dose of the placebo effect. That’s because many of the over-the-counter CBD smoothie additives and latte supplements simply don’t have enough cannabinoids to be wildly effective.”

“We aspire to love our fans more than they love us and we want to give them what they’re looking for in a fun, Ben & Jerry’s way” said their online website.

Sounds like they’re committed to making this happen.
