Delivery services have boomed amidst the global lockdowns due to COVID-19, and not just for your groceries either!
In the United States of America, cannabis is currently legal in 11 states, and during the lockdown, a few states were able to switch from selling strictly from their dispensaries to offering delivery service, too!
However, in all these 11 states, delivery service is only allowed in California, Oregon, Nevada, and Michigan as of now.
But these services have helped keep these businesses open and running!
As pubs struggled to make their year’s end’s meet (missing St Paddy’s Day to Corona…) weed dispensaries in America were able to still offer their clients medicinal marijuana, or recreational in the spirit of April 20 – the stoner’s favorite holiday. Such services helped many of these small businesses thrive as well, such as in Oregon the delivery service Kush Cart was able to grant its workers paid sick leave for the first time this year!
In Michigan, the governor granted an executive order for all dispensaries to offer delivery services since March, ensuring that their services will be safer, and faster.

However, remember it is important to check the running hours and laws of each of the services you are searching for. Many organizations run under their own state laws, so their delivery ranges and time-frames may differ.
For example, in Portland, Oregon, deliveries are only permitted to residential addresses and only until 8pm – this means, no frat houses, college campuses, hotels, or senior homes… However, in California, they are more lax on the delivery addresses. And in Las Vegas, deliveries are allowed even up to 3am. So, just call to check in before making an order.
