When you practically dwell in abject poverty, you have to get your kicks from life wherever and however you can. These young guys from Mumbai might have no money, but they’re living like 007 – even if only in regards to the danger part. But hey, fun’s fun.

Adrian Cothier’s short film, ‘Train Surfers’, which earned a Vimeo Staff Pick, follows the group as they perform death-defying stunts on speeding trains – see, totally Bond-like – which are, of course, illegal and, if caught, can result in police beatings and a fine of 500 rupees.

Cothier commented on this potentially lethal passion:

‘There was something incredibly beautiful about seeing this boy risk his life in front of a single person audience with no intention other than to feel something stronger than the daily boredom’

Impressive stuff, maybe they’ll get their own stunt show over in America or something. For more mad stunts, see here.
