After a limited screening in theaters on January 20, the film You People went live on Netflix You People. Kenya Barris’s new Netflix project featuring an ensemble cast covers all the corners of entertainment for its viewers.
Barris directs the film, and this makes his directorial debut. Barris also co-writes the script for the movie with Johan Hill. With this project, Barris also created his production company, Khalabo Ink Society. Similarly, Jonah Hill started his company, Strong Baby.
The film’s plot revolves around an interracial couple who find themselves in a situation where they face each other’s very different families.

He plays the role of Ezra Cohen in the film, an LA millennial looking to marry his girlfriend. While Lauren London plays the role of Amira Mohammed, a stylish LA black girl who makes her bond with Ezra after he accidentally gets into her car and mistakers hers for a sharing cab service.
Lauren London can also be seen in many other projects like Baggage Claim, The Game, Games People Play, Kevin Hart’s True Story; I Love You Beth Cooper, and This Christmas.
