Every Netflix subscriber has most likely heard of the show Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, the number one TV series on Netflix. Whether or not you’ve watched it, there’s no possible way you could have missed out on it because, as of October 6, it’s currently ranked in the top 10 TV shows.
The series is a fictionalized retelling of murderer and sex offender Jeffrey Dahmer’s life and the story of his victims. The serial killer murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991.
He murdered many people and committed necrophilia, cannibalism, and preserved body parts. Unluckily for him, his crimes were not spotted because of systemic racism in the police force.
It’s no secret that the show has become a Netflix hit. Though the story ended, you might wonder if Netflix is considering a second season.
Will there be another season of Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story?
As of this writing, there is no word on whether or not Netflix will produce season 2 of Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. It makes sense because we saw everything we needed to see- Dahmer growing up, his murders and other heinous acts he committed, and his trial. He finally died in prison at the end of Season 1.
But Murphy could turn the series into an anthology. The viewership numbers that came in from the Dahmer story were one of the highest Netflix has seen. Monster brought in 196.2 million viewers in its first week, almost the same number as Bridgerton and Stranger Things.
Netflix may stick with the same format but focus on a new serial killer instead.
