The excitement is too real.

The trailer dropped during the Superbowl advert break last night.

I can’t tell you how excited I was to be given this article because I, like everyone else on this earth, absolutely adore David Attenborough and his documentaries. The man is an absolute treasure, and I can’t count the number of times I’ve ‘wow’d’ out loud watching his shows, especially when it came to Blue Planet II.

Our last dose of Attenborough came late last year in the form of Dynasties, with each episode following a particular family from six different species; chimps, lions, painted wolves, emperor penguins and tigers. All six episodes featured the usual stunning cinematography, amazing soundtracks, and as usual were so interesting. If you haven’t caught up with it yet, please do. Disclaimer: you will most likely cry at every single episode, the lion one especially if you’re like me.

It’s always a dull time when there’s no new Attenborough to watch, but fear not, another docu-series is on it’s way.

His newest offering is called Our Planet, and is in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

Talking about the series, Attenborough said,

Our Planet will take viewers on a spectacular journey of discovery, showcasing the beauty and fragility of the natural world.

Today we have become the greatest threat to the health of our home but there’s still time for us to address the challenges we’ve created, if we act now. We need the world to pay attention.

The series is set to drop on Netflix on the 6th of April, so if you’ve not already got a Netflix subscription, hurry along.

So enough chat, here’s the trailer:

Honestly, I’m already excited and emotional.

It looks incredible, doesn’t it?
