American filmmaker, author and actor Tyler Perry will soon be hitting our screens with a new Netflix movie entitled ‘Six Tripple Eight’. Six Triple Eight is about a fascinating group of black women, well known for their epic contribution to WWII.
Tyler Perry is starring for the fourth time in a Netflix production. While has previously given masterpieces like A Fall From Grace: A Madea Homecoming, Don’t Look Up And A Jazzman’s Blues.
The movie’s plot revolves around the black women known as the 6888th Postal Directory Battalion. The women served their country in WWII and have also received a few recognitions. The official release date for the film is not confirmed as of now, but the beginning of production has been confirmed.
The film is expected to premiere on Netflix in early 2024 as production has just begun. In recent news, the makers confirmed the starring of Kerry Washington and some new faces like Ophra Winfrey, Susan Sarandon, and Sam Waterston would join us.
Along with the new casting team, some old stars will join the casting team, including Miluana Jackson, Kylie Jefferson, Ebony Obsidian, Shanice Shantay, Pepi Sonuga, Jay Reeves, Sarah Jeffery, Jeante Godlock, Moriah Brown, Baadja-Lyne Odums, Dean Norris and Gtregg Sulkin.
The official plot or synopsis of the cast is not available as of now, but the story will be based on the article published in WWII History magazine by Kevin M. Hymel.
The plot of the movie also briefs about a group of 855 black women who joined the war and experienced sexism, racism, and, of course, Nazi Germany.
Some official resources confirmed that the production began in January 2023 and will last till April 2023. Recent announcements confirm the beginning of principal photography for this. Stay tuned for more updates on Tyler Perry’s Six Triple Eight.
