The second season of The Watcher will not be returning to Netflix in January 2023.

This smash hit thriller series by Ryan Murphy arrived on Netflix in early October. It intrigued audiences all over the world and earned itself a quick renewal by the streaming giant. This series is based on true events and a 2018 New York Post article. The plot revolves around a normal family who after moving into their dream home starts to live in a true nightmare once they start receiving letters from a mysterious “watcher”.

The official logline, by Netflix’s Media Center, states that:

“After the Brannock family moves into what was supposed to be their suburban dream home, it quickly becomes a living hell. Ominous letters from someone calling themself “The Watcher” are just the beginning as the neighborhood’s sinister secrets come spilling out.”

The Watcher season 2 release update

After the October release of The Watcher, Netflix decided to renew this chilling suburban thriller for season 2. However, unfortunately, no official release date has not been confirmed by Netflix for the second season of The Watcher as of now. But that doesn’t stop us from making a prediction.

The streaming giant usually takes some time to decide before releasing sequels. Generally, Netflix waits around a year before dropping new seasons of its shows. This means that it’s likely we won’t get to see a second season of the show until October 2023 at the earliest. However, we could be wrong. Viewers will just have to wait for further announcements from Netflix.
