Most people enjoy a good sitcom. Some of the most popular in history include Cheers, Seinfeld, Friends, How I Met Your Mother, and The Office. The list truly goes on and on. Still, it is not everyday that these sitcoms have a cast reunion. With that being said, it was both surprising and exciting when it was announced that the 1990s show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, would be having a special get together.

The reunion will be viewable on HBO Max and is scheduled to release on Nov. 19, 2020. So it is really just a few days away!

Personally, I never really got into the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The show ended in 1996, and I was born in 1997. I have seen a couple of episodes and based on those, I have a good understanding as to why the show became so popular.

Will Smith is awesome, Carlton is hilarious, and the theme song is so dang catchy. There are so many famous scenes from the series it is really incredible when you actually think about it. The show is really well put together.

The show created so many laughs for so many people. The reunion is definitely going to be something special. I mean seriously, all the cast members getting together reminiscing about their favorite times working together? Pretty cool if you ask me!

The only thing about this that makes me upset is that the actor who played Uncle Phil, James Avery, passed away in December of 2013. It is really unfortunate that he will not be able to get together with everyone and spread the love he always displayed on the show.

The trailer does allude to a discussion about him, but it would have been great for him to still be here with us for him to enjoy this once in a blue moon get together.

Either way, the reunion looks awesome. There is no doubt in my mind that it will live up to the hype. But while we wait for the special to drop, we might as well dive into the archives and watch some episodes.
