Netflix’s Korean reality dating show Single’s Inferno has released the final two episodes for its 4th season on February 11th. Here is a recap of all the cast members and their controversies.
Lee Si-an
Lee Si-an, 25, is a Korean model who has amassed over 700k followers on Instagram. She has worked with brands like Samsung and New Balance, but audience members are most surprised by her former career as a K-Pop trainee.
Before Single’s Inferno, she competed in the reality survival show Idol School in 2017. She is also seen in Produce 48, participating alongside now-global superstars like Jang Wonyoung (IVE) and Kim Chaewon (Le Sserafim), where she finished 30th.
After Episode 1, sources found that her management company, Leaders Entertainment, sought legal action against her. According to the company, she attempted to terminate her contract despite terms promising another two years in partnership. Without her public response, it is unclear if the dispute has been settled.
Chung You-jin
Chung You-jin, 28, is a student pursuing a master’s degree in dance. Her social media is filled with photos of her performing both on and off stage, and also showcases her secondary passion for free-diving.
To her fans’ frustration, many say that You-jin did not receive adequate screen time throughout the season. Yet, she has also received negative comments after the hosts of the 4th season joked that she had “creepy” moments during the show.
Regardless, Chung You-jin ignores the backlash and continues to pursue her passions. She does so particularly alongside her adorable dog, who makes many appearances on her Instagram feed.
Kim Min-seol
Kim Min-seol, 23, is a freelance news reporter for SPOTV. She has also acted, having appeared in the 2022 K-Drama Cafe Minamdang. In her free time, Min-seol dances ballet and models.
Many fans emphasize the producers’ focus on her relationships throughout the season, including a love triangle with Lee Si-an and a male co-star. Watch the Single’s Inferno finale to find out what happens!
Bae Ji-yeon
Bae Ji-yeon, 25, is a space designer and an influencer with over 500k followers on Instagram. She likes to work out, and her slim and chiseled figure gained lots of attention from viewers.
Controversy has very recently erupted concerning Ji-yeon and the male co-star she matched with in the finale, many saying she “deserves better.”
Additionally, one of the hosts, Kim Jin-young, expressed his own interest in Ji-yeon during the show’s commentary segments. Ji-yeon responded to Jin-young’s adoration in a post-show interview with FastPaper flirtatiously saying, “Thank you for liking me. I am waiting here.”
Kim Hye-jin
Kim Hye-jin, 26, is a professional model and celebrity known for her stunning visuals and tall stature. Some may recognize her from her participation in beauty pageants, as she won the title of Miss Korea back in 2020.
Fans of the show often praise her for her looks, but Hye-jin also emphasizes that she has a fun and silly personality, which many recognize during the show’s 12 episodes. She is often seen maintaining her relationships all while making close friendships with many of her co-stars, and even ended the finale with a match!
Kim A-rin
Kim A-rin, 25, is a fashion and beauty model. She surprised many fans during her self-introduction when she shared that she likes to skateboard, but many find it endearing.
There is not a lot of information about her personal life, and A-rin dos not post often on social media. Yet, she was able to show many sides of her dynamic personality on screen, and she has garnered over 200k followers as a result.
Park Hae-lin
Park Hae-lin, 24, was the final female contestant to join the cast in Episode 5. She is pursuing a degree in acting and held a small role in the 2024 K-Drama Tarot, which coincidentally starred one of the hosts of Single’s Inferno, Kim Jin-young.
Similarly to Lee Si-an, Hae-lin was a former K-Pop idol trainee and participated in the survival show Mix Nine, but she pivoted to acting as a result of being unable to debut.
Kim Te-hwan
Kim Te-hwan, 31, is a DJ and owns a nightclub in Seoul, South Korea. He also has previous acting experience where he first began with his role in the 2016 Chinese drama My Amazing Boyfriend.
From his initial self-introduction in Episode 1, he described himself as having a lot of “self-love,” but some viewers accused him of being cocky. Seconds after entering, he claimed he had “known [he] was handsome since [he] had been born.”
Many fans were shocked by his remarks. However, he seemed to redeem himself as he remained respectful throughout the shooting, and many describe him as elite boyfriend material!
Kook Dong-ho
Kook Dong-ho, 30, describes himself as warm-hearted despite seeming cold at first. Fans went crazy when the show revealed that he works as a certified public accountant for a large South Korean accounting firm.
Dong-ho was one of the less publicly-known contestants prior to the premiere, yet he still managed to capture the hearts of viewers. He has gained hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram, and many are waiting to see what he will do with his burst in popularity.
Theo Jang
Theo Jang, 29, is an actor, musician, and model. He is known for acting in A Man in a Veil and The King of Tears, Lee Bang Won. He also enjoys playing the piano, and many viewers admire his wide range of talents.
Theo Jang has opened up about his aspirations to enter Hollywood, even sharing that he has been learning English. He is currently set to participate as a cast member in an upcoming film.
Kim Jeong-su
Kim Jeong-su, 33, is a business owner with various cafe and bakery stores around South Korea. He describes himself as having “golden retriever energy” and has a notably deep voice, as commented on by the hosts during his self-introduction.
He has received some hateful attention online following the release of the final two episodes. During a date with a female co-star, he spent the time interrogating her about her potential feelings towards other contestants.
Many fans called him out, saying he was displaying “red flags.” Others came to his defense and pointed out the dynamics of the show, recognizing that there could be worries for contestants as they neared the end.
Yuk Jun-seo
Yuk Jun-seo, 28, is one of the most notable cast members this season. He acted in the Netflix action show Sweet Home where he was able to show off his athleticism as a former UDT military soldier for the South Korean military. He is now living a quieter life as an aspiring artist.
While there are no rules against famous contestants, some fans were angered by his casting and claim that it made it unfair for other male contestants. But, some believe his popularity is due to his unexpectedly soft charm. Amidst the hate comments, Yuk Jun-seo continues to create art and model, and has recently done a campaign with Calvin Klein.
An Jong-hoon
An Jong-hoon, 32, entered the show in Episode 5 after being voted in by the female cast in a competition with two other potential cast members. He is a business owner with a pub in Seoul.
Given the nature of Episode 5, many audience members believed An Jong-hoon would make himself as a viable contender for the hearts of the female contestants. Considering they voted for him, it is hard to disagree!
This season is rich with drama and controversy, but there is no arguing that the cast is stacked with beautiful stars! Whether they were familiar with fame or they lived a modest life, Single’s Inferno has surely catapulted all of their established or blossoming careers.
If you can’t get enough of the Korean reality show, you have something to look forward to: Netflix announced on February 12th, 2025 that they are planning to begin filming Season 5! The next cast is sure to be just as exciting as this one.
