Nicole Kidman and Maya Erskine are all set to star in the upcoming limited series of HBO “The Perfect Nanny.”
The series is based on an international bestseller book and French novel by Leila Slimani. The book was influenced by the tragic real-life murder of Leo Krim and Lucia by their Nanny in 2012. The story revolves around a nanny hired by a French-Moroccan Lawyer to babysit her young children when she goes to work. As the family becomes more dependent on the Nanny, resentment, jealousy, and alarming rise, leading to a tragic end. The book received positive feedback from readers and critics for exploring the generation gap and the fear of every parent, the death of their children.
The series is set to mark the return of Nicole Kidman to HBO. The actress was well-known for her two hit series on HBO, ‘The Undoing’ and ‘Big Little Lies.’ Kidman earned two Emmys for her role as an actress and producer. She has also won the Academy Award for her roles in movies like ‘Being the Ricardos,’ ‘Eye Wide Shut’ and ‘Moulin Rouge!’. On the other hand, Maya Erskine is best known for the comedy series PEN15, where she performed as an actor and co-creator of the show.
