The animated series Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is a family movie based on a well-known children’s book; it is primarily an all-singing and dancing production with a great soundtrack.
The movie also has several brand-new songs written by Justin Paul and Beni Pasek, who wrote the music for Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman. Shawn Mendes, who plays the eponymous reptile, and Javier Bardem, who plays his eccentric owner, sang most of the songs.
The family-friendly movie centers on the Primm family when they relocate to New York with their son Josh, who struggles to adjust to his new surroundings and neighborhood until he meets Lyle. He develops a deep connection and friendship with the singing, bath-loving, caviar-eating crocodile named Lyle.
